Piccolo Fiction Open is a literary component of the Piccolo Spoleto Arts Festival, sponsored by

City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs, &
Blue Bicycle Books,

Since 1999, the winning stories have been read by the authors during the festival, broadcast by SC Public Radio's Your Day, and published in the Charleston City Paper.

The 10th Piccolo Fiction Open seeks original and creative stories on the theme of Present Tense.

The deadline is March 10, and the word limit is 1,000. Three or fewer submissions per writer, please.

attached as a .doc Word document (not docx)

There are no residency restrictions.

The authors of the winning stories will be invited to read their stories at Blue Bicycle Books during the festival.
